of Canada's Northern Wilderness |
| Your
own lake, your own cabin, your own solitude. Trips from $499US per person.
| We are proud to introduce our new venture: Air Cochrane. Many of you may already know us from Kesagami Wilderness Lodge or our Michelbob' Ribs restaurants in Naples, Florida. For over 20 years we have earned an unparalleled reputation for service and hospitality in the restaurant and fishing lodge business. Kesagami Wilderness Lodge is already recognized as a world-class destination for top quality fishing due to our conservation practices and the uncompromising support of our guests. We are now committed to bring you the finest value in outpost wilderness fly-in fishing available anywhere. Deep in the heart of Canada's northern wilderness lies our secluded outposts. Nestled on the shoreline and islands of quiet lakes and rivers, these beautiful locations are accessible only by seaplane. This unspoiled wilderness is enhanced by outstanding fishing and exceptional service. The Cochrane District is renowned for over 400 lakes and rivers. A real getaway for even the most demanding sportsman. |
When We Say Remote, We Mean It!All of our remote outposts remain secluded from the encroachment of civilization. A real getaway for even the most demanding sportsman. Our lakes not only have a variety of species, but also vary in size, depth, and in the type of scenery you will experience. The outpost cottages range in size from 4 to 15 beds. The log and frame cottages are equipped with propane lights, stoves, refrigerators, bunkbeds, mattresses, wood stoves, 14 foot aluminium boats, outboard motors and all cooking and eating utensils. Rates include air transportation to the outpost and return to Cochrane, equipped cottage, boat, motor, gas, and mid-week camp check (on a 7-day vacation). All you need is a sleeping bag, personal and fishing gear, food, first aid kit and a huge desire for adventure. And can we fly our airplanes. Air Cochrane exclusively operates its own fleet of traditional floatplanes operated by a staff of skilled bush pilots with 100 years of combined experience. |

| The Best Fishing in
the Country Through careful management, conservation limits and rotating lakes, Cochrane Air is committed to providing you with a quality fishing vacation. We have a catch & release policy for all pike and large walleye and recommend that you have a reproduction mount made as a reminder of your big catch.
| Walleye Most lakes have both Walleye & Northern
Pike. Perhaps the tastiest fish in our waters, average size for Walleye is 1.5-2
lbs. Numerous and fiesty, this species is a treat for all anglers. Bucktail jigs
work just fine. The main sport fish
in Northern Ontario is the veracious Northern Pike. Pike favour spoons (red &
white daredevils and silver minnows) and casting into weed beds can produce lunkers
up to 20 lbs. Found in abundance in our lakes, we have the best pike producing
area in Canada. Found in the rivers and streams in our area. Air Cochrane has outposts which access these rivers for speckled trout. The best time for trout is July, August, and September. This is when you catch trout up to 20-22 inches. |
Affordable Family PlansKesagami Wilderness Lodge first pioneered special affordable rates to encourage children and spouses to be able to enjoy the uniqueness of a fly-in wilderness vacation together. We are now moving this type of pricing into the outpost fly-in business as well, so that families can more easily experience this type of vacation. For all outposts, now children (15 and under) are 50% off and spouses are 25% off. These rates are available through the entire fishing season. By offering these affordable family packages, we want to invest in your family experience. A family vacation together in the serene wilderness away from the distractions of the telephone and TV can be an unforgettable lifetime experience.

Corporate Fly-in Destinations
We feature two great destinations for large corporate groups to ensure
their isolation in a classic wilderness setting. "Yesterday Lake Outpost" can
handle 15 guests in a spot known for its great numbers of pike and walleye. The
lake features numerous bays and coves as well as a portage lake making it a popular
fly-in destination. And "Nettogami Outpost" features three separate camps with
a six mile lake and eight miles of river fishing. Total capacity of all three
outposts at Nettogami is 20 people. |
