Chapleau Lodge is the only lodge on Borden Lake - a unique body of water that is spring fed and in places over 200 feet deep. Borden Lake is north of the Arctic Watershed and with its neighboring lakes it's home to prize winning Lake Trout, Walleyes, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Whitefish, and Speckled Trout (See Lake Map). With our personally prepared color-coded lake map and instruction on where to fish and what baits to use, you will fish like a pro if you already aren't one.

Our four plans were designed to accomodate your length of stay and boat requirements. Please note prices are per person - double occupancy. All rates are quoted in Canadian Funds. Final billing in Canadian dollars will be at current bank exchange rates. Rates are subject to change without notice.

American Plan Includes:

• A beautiful comfortable room with ensuite bathroom and a large lakefront picture window in our main lodge. All spotlessly clean, with full maid service.
• Three full choice menu meals each day: breakfast, lunch at noon, and a complete seven course dinner each evening in air-conditioned comfort.
• An outboard 9.9 motor (with gas).
• A day's supply of worms.
• A 14' clean "Starcaraft" fishing boat fully equipped with safety cushions, swivel seats, life jackets, net, stringer, anchor, and oars. One boat for each 2 or 3 adults.
• Full fish cleaning, freezing, and packing service.
• An air-conditioned comfortable sunroom with fireplace, library, and a tackle shop.
• A large heated swimming pool, for keeping fit hot day relaxation.
• High speed internet access available.

Housekeeping Plan Includes:

• Our comfortable six (6) person to (2) person lakefront cottages completely equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, barbecue, dishes, cookware, electric heating, plenty of hot water, 3 piece bathroom, and bed linens.
• An outboard 9.9 motor, with gas.
• A 14' clean "Starcraft" fishing boat, equipped with swivel seats, life vests, cushions, anchor, and oars. One boat for each 2 or 3 adults.
• A large heated swimming pool (June - August).
• High speed internet access available.

A and B plan differences:

The American and Housekeeping 'B' Plans do not include a boat with motor and gas.

Reservations and Terms:

• All reservations on which a deposit has been paid are guaranteed.
• A deposit of $150.00 per person is required within 14 days of booking. If cancellation is necessary, deposit will be refunded if received 90 days prior to arrival date. If after this date, deposit will be applied to a later date, or the following season.
• Check-in time is after 12:00 P.M. and check-out is by 10:00 A.M.

Family Rates:

Children under 12 years, 50% off and children under 6 years are FREE. Children must be in the same room or cottage with 2 adults.

In Summary...

A day on Borden Lake will continue to live with you long after the fishing stories have been recounted and the rods and reel put away. Our outdoor theatre will appeal to the sportsman who enjoys wildlife photography as well as to those who simply prefer to drink in the beauty of nature in their own silence. Spectacular cliffs exposing some of the oldest rock on Earth are washed by pristine waters. A cow moose and her calf high step through the brush while the haunting cries of the loons drift through the air.
