Powell's Labrador Adventures

The river is characterized by narrow gorges and canyons surrounded by steep hills and some of the finest salmon pools imaginable (three water falls in the section near the lodge)

Our new lodge is approximately 6km up from the river mouth and is accessible only by helicopter.

We fish the first 26 km of river with some of the best fishing right in front of the lodge. All of our fishing for salmon is on fly with catch and release only. Our professional guides, who are expert fishermen with years of outdoors experience will enable you to enjoy your ultimate fishing experience.

Fishing

At Powell's Labrador Adventures we limit the number of Fishermen we accommodate, so that each trip is custom planned, it is our wish to make your trip a memorable one, worthy of recommendation to others.

We cater to a maximum of 12 anglers per week. Accommodating a small number of fishermen enables us to provide a very flexible and personalized fishing experience. You'll enjoy the solitude at our outpost chalet at the falls approximately 4 miles from the main lodge for the very best of Atlantic Salmon fishing. Our three outpost cabins are available at no extra cost.

You will access new and different fishing waters each day of your stay if desired although some of the finest fishing pools are near our new lodge. Fishing is done both by wading, from river boats, and from the shore. We have over 20 boats available including Gander River boats, Jet Boat, Zodiac rubber rafts as well as aluminum and fiberglass boats with motors.

Beyond the lodge lies adventure: World class Fly fishing for Atlantic Salmon in some of our secret fishing holes. It is meant for those who appreciate the great outdoors, surrounding the lodge is a region of spectacular wilderness with abundant wildlife and pristine trout and salmon. Here you'll taste the best Labrador has to offer.

We will do our best to make your fishing dreams come true. Most of our fishing is fly fishing only. However we will entertain spinning gear by fishermen insome areas for sea-run trout and Char as long as single barbless hooks are used and care is taken to lesson stress and damage to these fish. Rates

Our l odge is booked on a weekly basis only. A deposit of $2000.00 US is due 14 days after booking. Fully refundable in the event of cancellation up to 91 days prior to your arrival with Powell's Labrador Adventures. Remainder is due 30 days prior to arrival.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect your investment in the event of an emergency, act of God or other unforseen situation, which would cause you to cancel your trip.
