The most notable features of Acrocanthosaurus were the tall, muscular ridge along it's back and the large claws on it's powerful arms. This predator may have hunted in groups. Trackways found in Texas show footprints of a small group of theropods, which some paleontologists believe to be Acrocanthosaurus traveling in the same direction as a large herd of sauropods.
